Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before enrolling in our courses or using our services. By accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

By accessing or using the Isuru ICT website, enrolling in classes, or utilizing any of our educational services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. General Terms

1.1 These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your relationship with Isuru ICT (referred to as "we," "us," or "our"), regarding your use of our website, online and physical ICT classes, and all associated services.

1.2 "User," "Student," "Parent," or "You" refers to any individual who accesses our services, registers for classes, or uses our website.

1.3 We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Changes become effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

1.4 If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our services or website.

2. Enrollment & Registration

Registration Requirements

  • All students must provide accurate and complete registration information including name, grade, school, and contact details.
  • Parents/guardians must provide consent for students under 18 years of age.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • Each student must have a unique account - sharing login credentials is strictly prohibited.
  • We reserve the right to refuse enrollment to any individual at our discretion.

Account Management

  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

Our Content

All materials provided by Isuru ICT, including but not limited to:

  • Study notes, tutorials, and handouts (digital and physical)
  • Video recordings of classes and lectures
  • Past papers, unit tests, and assessment materials
  • Presentations, diagrams, and visual aids
  • Website design, logos, and graphics

are the exclusive property of Isuru ICT and protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or commercially exploit any of our content without explicit written permission.

Student Submissions

By submitting assignments, projects, or any other work to Isuru ICT, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, review, and provide feedback on your submissions for educational purposes. You retain ownership of your original work.

Prohibited Actions

  • Recording live classes without permission
  • Sharing class recordings or materials with non-enrolled individuals
  • Using our materials to teach or tutor others
  • Selling or distributing our content in any form

4. Fees & Payments

  • All fees are due according to the payment schedule provided at enrollment (monthly or termly).
  • Payments must be made via approved methods (bank transfer, online payment, or cash for physical classes).
  • Late payments incur a penalty of Rs. 500 after the 10th of the month.
  • We reserve the right to suspend access to classes and materials for unpaid accounts.
  • Fee revisions will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.
  • Registration fees, if applicable, are non-refundable.
  • Scholarships and discounts are offered at our sole discretion and may be revoked if terms are violated.

5. Code of Conduct

Classroom Behavior

  • Treat teachers and fellow students with respect and courtesy.
  • Do not disrupt classes through inappropriate behavior, comments, or actions.
  • Keep microphones muted unless speaking during online sessions.
  • Use appropriate language in all communications (chat, email, discussions).
  • No bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind will be tolerated.

Academic Integrity

  • All assignments, tests, and exams must be your own work.
  • Cheating, plagiarism, or unauthorized collaboration is strictly prohibited.
  • Violations may result in grade penalties or immediate termination of enrollment.

Consequences of Violation

Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Verbal or written warning
  • Temporary suspension from classes
  • Permanent removal without refund
  • Legal action if applicable

6. Limitation of Liability

  • Isuru ICT provides educational services "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free service.
  • We are not liable for technical issues beyond our control (internet outages, device malfunctions, etc.).
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
  • We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the preceding 3 months.
  • We do not guarantee specific academic results or examination outcomes.

7. Termination of Services

  • You may terminate your enrollment by providing written notice to Isuru ICT.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately for violations of these Terms.
  • Upon termination, you must cease using all Isuru ICT materials and content.
  • Fees paid prior to termination are non-refundable unless stated otherwise in our Refund Policy.
  • Sections regarding intellectual property, liability, and governing law survive termination.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.
  • Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Sri Lanka.
  • We encourage informal dispute resolution first - please contact us directly to resolve any concerns.
  • If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be submitted to binding arbitration as agreed by both parties.

9. Miscellaneous Provisions

  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Isuru ICT.
  • Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent.
  • Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
